About Atlas
Atlas was created by Brooklyn-native Abie Baldwin and her husband Taylor Aue.
The two met, married, and started their family while living in Chicago. After 20 years of living in the city, they realized it was time for a change. So they decided to bring their family home to Brooklyn to enjoy the small town pace of life, and with the goal of becoming active in the community. They knew they wanted to do something cool, right in the village square. Something that would contribute in a positive way to Brooklyn's already growing trend of economic development and local community investment.
After living here for a year they realized that what Brooklyn needed and wanted most of all was new food and drink options, with more menu diversity, and with a real focus on quality. And not just the quality of the food and drinks, but also the quality of the whole guest experience.

As luck would have it, Taylor already happened to be a restaurateur. And Abie had spent most of her adult life designing and building beautiful, inviting spaces first as a landscape architect, and later as a serial rehabber of cool old houses. The opportunity was both obvious and exciting. The two set out on a mission to create a restaurant that would not only fill the gap in the local dining market, but one that would also enrich and elevate the entire community.
Atlas' mission is:
To serve others, genuinely,
and to be a force for positive growth
Atlas is a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place to eat, drink, socialize, celebrate, relax, and appreciate good people and good things.
